The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has recently launched a service to facilitate free, personalised advice by intellectual property (IP) experts from private law firms.

EUIPO invites all SMEs registered in the EU to take this great opportunity and apply for the free, one-to-one consultation, which can now be requested free of charge via the EUIPO’s website for any question relating to intellectual property such as:

• understanding which IP rights (trade marks, patents, designs, etc.) are best for you
• preparing a trade mark, patent or design application
• strategy for monetisation of your IP rights
• resolving disputes

This is part of the newly branded ‘Ideas Powered for Business’ SME Programme of the EUIPO Strategic Plan 2025 and is available from the recently launched Ideas Powered for Business hub.
