€20 m SME Fund for Intellectual Property. Get your refund!

The 2nd application window of the Ideas Powered for business SME Fund was launched on the 1st March 2021 by the EUIPO with the collaboration of the national IP offices. This 20 million grant scheme for European SMEs offers financial support, namely 50% off trade mark and design application fees (national and European) and also 75% off on IP-Pre-diagnostic services. EUIPO speakers Lynn Burtchaell, Sebastien Hanck and Sandrine Buard will discuss how SMEs can get this financial support and also highlight some changes in the second application window, such as the possibility for IP representatives to apply to the SME Fund on behalf of their clients. There will also be plenty of time for questions.

Arctic15 Stockholm 2021 – Nordic Growth

Matchmaking & networking event for startups, businesses & investors Arctic15 Online startup event connects startup entrepreneurs, investors, corporates and media from 60+ countries with its traditional matchmaking and networking focused mindset and welcomes everyone who supports innovation and entrepreneurship, to be part of it. The pandemic brought us many uncertainties and created some fears of the future. But at the same time, new business opportunities are rising. As the most efficient matchmaking event in the Nordics, Arctic15 has an important role in facilitating these deals. Building trust is essential to close any new deals and it is harder at the moment as the parties are not able to meet face-to-face. However, the virtual environment is now the key to make new connections and cherish the old ones.

GALACTICA Hackathon Second Round

The GALACTICA Hackathon is open to start-ups and SMEs as well as to university students based in European Union or United Kingdom. GALACTICA seeks innovative solutions to combine the aerospace and textile sectors with advanced manufacturing is expected, in order to re-shape value chains and business models, fomenting cross-sectoral and cross-border partnerships. All participants from the first round will be invited to three ‘free-to-access’ workshops from experts on technological and business topics. The ten finalist teams will also be invited to an additional workshop and mentoring during the two-day Hackathon.  This second round for selected finalists will take place on March 18th and 19th, 2021. The GALACTICA hackathon will award 50.000€ in prizes, distributed in 25k€ for wining SME/Start-up team and 10k€ for the runner-up. On the other side, winning team of students receive 10k€ and the runner-up 5k€. The registration for the GALACTICA Hackathon is now open through the website until January 29th, 2021.

Pan-European Startup Pitch

DEPO Angels invite you to virtually join the Pan-European Startup Pitch that will take place next Thursday, 18th of March at 6 PM CET.
