FiBAN: The Largest Defence and Security Pitching Contest in Northern Europe

Do you have a solution or technology that could be used in the Defence or Security markets? Are you looking for investment?

FiBAN is on the hunt for the next unicorn in Defence and Security (DefSec), and for that purpose, they are organizing the largest Defence and Security pitching event in Finland. 

Is your company “dual use”?

FiBAN is searching for companies with dual use innovations: those that can be used in both civilian and DefSec markets, particularly in the following areas

• AI
• Cyber Defense / Cyber Warfare
• Big Data & Analytics
• Blockchain
• Advance Defense Equipment
• Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS)
• IoT of Military
• Immersive Tech
• Additive Manufacturing for Defense
• 5G

The Event

The Finnish Business Angels Network, in partnership with Finnish and (NATO) Defence organizations and other local entities, is hosting the largest Defence pitch event in Northern Europe this coming June 7th. 

Selected startups will be invited to pitch their solutions to an audience of Angel Investors, Defence VCs, and participants from NATO Defence entities, including the Digital Defence Ecosystem and other Defence organizations from Finland, the US, and NATO allies. The event offers invaluable networking opportunities for participating startups. 

The Prize

The winning company will receive an investment of 100,000 euros from Finnish angel investors and international VCs specialized in dual use. 

Which companies qualify

• You have an existing, registered company
• Your company is at least in the pre-seed or seed stage.
• Your company is established in a NATO country
• You submit at least one illustration of how your solution(s) can be used in defence, security, or dual-use.

As long as you can illustrate how your solution applies to the DefSec market, we strongly encourage you to apply.
